Motor Trader Commercial Industry Awards 2025
The new generation DAF XD truck series was once again recognized as the “Truck of the Year”. This time the award was given by the British magazine Motor Trader at the Motor Trader Commercial Industry Awards 2025 held in Birmingham. The jury also awarded DAF Trucks the title “Truck Manufacturer of the Year”.
The double award underlines DAF’s position as a leading European manufacturer of commercial vehicles. The judges noted the company’s constant innovation, strong dealer network and high level of customer service.
High performance of the DAF XD series
The “Truck of the Year” award is a testament to the excellent performance of the new generation DAF XD model range, both in the field of logistics and in specialized industries. This series is the benchmark for efficiency, driver comfort and safety – with features such as ultra-low window line for better visibility and a full range of driver assistance systems. The XD is available in a wide range of chassis and cab options, as well as with internal combustion engines and electric powertrains.
The title “Truck Manufacturer of the Year” confirms the wide product range of DAF Trucks, which leads the market, as well as its developed after-sales service system and dealer network.
