EFFICIENCY CHAMPIONS 2025: THE MOST EFFICIENT DAF TRUCKS

DAF is going to award the most efficient tractors and chassis with the “Efficiency Champion” label. A special icon on the side of the cabin will clearly indicate that the car optimally uses every drop of fuel.

When the new generation of DAF trucks was introduced, they were 10% more efficient than their already very efficient predecessors. Now, thanks to a series of innovations last fall, fuel economy has increased by another 3%.

Further optimization of the transmission made a significant contribution to reducing fuel consumption. At the same time, the standard features of the new generation DAF trucks have been enhanced, including digital mirrors, a full aerodynamic package, low rolling resistance tires and predictive cruise control – all aimed at improving fuel efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions.

Every DAF tractor and long-haul chassis is configured as an Efficiency Champion, provided the truck meets the minimum requirements for a class in the German truck toll system.

DAF dealers use the TOPEC program to customize trucks for specific applications and demonstrate what choosing features such as faster rear axle reduction or smaller fuel tanks can mean in terms of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

Invincible

“Optimum specification and registration by July 1, 2025 will ensure an advantage within the German Maut for every kilometer driven for the next six years,” says Bart Bosmans, DAF Trucks board member responsible for marketing and sales. “We work every day to make our trucks even more efficient. The efficiency champions show how important a car’s technical characteristics are to achieve the lowest possible fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.”
