In 2024, DAF Trucks showed good performance. With market share increasing to 15.8% in the last quarter of the year (2023: 15.6%) and the delivery of the first series of new DAF electric trucks to customers, DAF intends to further develop and increase its success in 2025. Last year was also marked by the introduction of a set of innovations for the new generation of DAF models and the celebration of 75 years of truck production.
DAF presented numerous improvements to its award-winning XD, XF, XG and XG+ vehicles in early autumn at the IAA transport exhibition in Hanover. Updated PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 transmissions, along with aerodynamic improvements, increase the trucks’ fuel efficiency by an additional 3 percent, setting new industry standards. In addition, PACCAR Connect, a new comprehensive online fleet management platform, was introduced to monitor fleet performance 24/7.

Energy transition
The first DAF XD and XF zero-emission electric cars were delivered, with a range of up to 500 km on a single charge. PACCAR Power Solutions were introduced to support transport carriers in their energy transition. This new division provides DAF and other customers with a wide range of customized products and services, including PACCAR chargers and complete battery storage systems.
Stable market share
Across Europe, DAF achieved a solid market share of 14.4% in the 16+ tonne segment, which last year was 316,000 units. DAF is the market leader in Great Britain (27.1%) and the Netherlands (28.9%). DAF is the largest import brand in the heavy-duty truck segment in the two largest truck markets in Europe: Germany and France. In the medium-duty segment (market size 50,900 units in 2024), DAF’s market share was 9.5%, with market leadership in the UK and the Netherlands.
Awards
In 2024, DAF received several prestigious awards. The DAF XF series won the Fehrenkötter field test for the lowest running costs in Germany, while the DAF XD and LF utility trucks were named “Best Rigid Trucks” in the UK. The DAF XD was also awarded the Irish Fleet Truck of the Year 2025 in the tractor category, while the DAF XB was awarded the BEST Light Truck by Transport a Logistika in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In addition, DAF was named UK Fleet Manufacturer of the Year and won the prestigious Factory of the Future award for its “innovative, efficient and high-quality” cab and axle factory in Westerlo, Belgium.
Sales outside of Europe
In 2024, DAF Brasil produced a record 10,700 trucks and achieved a record market share of 9.9% in the 16+ ton segment. DAF sold more than 4,800 trucks outside the European Union and Brazil, doubling sales in Jordan and the UAE. A new delivery record was set in Turkey and a significant increase in market share in New Zealand.
DAF components
DAF Components has sold more than 3,000 PACCAR engines to the world’s leading manufacturers of coach buses and special vehicles. The new PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 engines for intercity and bus routes set new standards in fuel efficiency and – thanks to high torque at low revs – passenger comfort.
Impeccable service
PACCAR Parts has opened a new state-of-the-art parts distribution center in Masbach, Germany to further improve customer service. PACCAR Parts celebrated the 30th anniversary of TRP’s all-manufacturer parts program, which consists of more than 87,000 parts for trucks, buses and trailers and is supported by the worldwide DAF dealer network. More than 1,300 fleets benefit from the European PACCAR Parts Fleet Services program, offering fixed prices for parts and a single invoice across Europe.
The new DAF XB won the award as the best light truck
In 2024, DAF Trucks reached the milestone of 275,000 DAF MultiSupport Repair & Maintenance contracts. DAF’s global dealer network has opened 31 new locations across Europe, South America, Africa and Oceania, expanding its worldwide network to approximately 1,150 locations.
