“Receiving this anniversary DAF XG is a great honor for us and a confirmation of our strong cooperation,” said Stefan Rosendaal of Rosendaal Transport, accepting the keys to his new DAF XG 480 4×2 Efficiency Champion. This is the 125,000th DAF new generation, which was manufactured at the company’s plant. Car completed economic engine PACCAR MX-13 and will be operated on the roads of Europe.
Manufactured in Eindhoven (Netherlands) and Leyland (UK), the industry-leading next-generation XD, XF, XG and XG+ trucks are designed for optimum performance in commercial haulage, logistics operations and long-haul and long-haul haulage. The series offers exceptional fuel efficiency, safety and driver comfort.
Rosendaal Transport
The 125,000-ton truck was handed over to Rosendaal Transport, a Dutch company specializing in the transportation of large cargo, general cargo and pallet transportation. This family-owned company is proudly celebrating a century in the transportation industry, so receiving a new vehicle was one of the milestones for them.
Rosendaal Transport maintains a long-term cooperation with DAF. “Given our excellent experience with the company and its vehicles, we chose DAF again,” said Stefan Rosendahl. “Our fleet includes both tractor units and rigid chassis trucks, including the XB, XD, XF and XG models.”
The most efficient truck
The anniversary car takes full advantage of the suite of innovations introduced last fall to maximize customer success. These include the improvement of the power plant, which allows to further increase the efficiency of fuel use. DAF’s new generation trucks now feature digital mirrors, a full aerodynamic package, low rolling resistance tires and forward collision warning as standard – all aimed at achieving the highest fuel efficiency and lowest CO emissions2.
The DAF XG 480 Efficiency Champion meets the requirements of class 3 in the Maut system – the German road toll system for trucks. This will give Rosendaal Transport a Maut advantage at every kilometer for the next six years.
A record in production
“This truck exemplifies the unmatched efficiency and exceptional build quality of our new generation DAF trucks.
