DAF remains the undisputed leader in the Taiwanese truck market of non-Asian brands – with a share of sales of almost 37% in the segment of trucks weighing 12 tons or more. The successful growth in Taiwan is expected to continue with the recent launch of the new Euro 6 truck series.
Since 2005, components for the popular LF and CF series trucks have been shipped to Taiwan every week from the DAF Trucks factories in Eindhoven and Leyland. Partner Formosa Plastics Group is responsible for their assembly in Taiwan. A modern production line produces five to six DAF cars a day. All cars are equipped with extremely reliable and efficient Euro 6 PACCAR engines.
