The DAF CF and XF model lines received the prestigious international Good Design Awards for “outstanding design and innovation”. The award in the nomination “Product design” in the automotive and transport industry is awarded by a jury of at least 55 members of the Australian organization Good Design Award. The new DAF CF and XF series were introduced to the Australian market in March.

The annual Good Design Awards is one of the oldest and most prestigious international awards for design and innovation. It has been awarded since 1958. The new generation DAF LF, CF and XF trucks have been awarded a number of awards around the world since their launch. Among them are the titles of International Truck of the Year, Fleet Truck of the Year, Green Truck of the Year and, of course, Construction Truck of the Year.
Positive impact on business and the environment
The jury of the Good Design Awards highly praised the DAF CF and XF models: “They set a new benchmark for style, functionality, safety, environmental friendliness and efficiency. An innovative approach allowed for the development of a truck concept that takes into account the interests of the end user, business and the environment. This concept is a thoughtful combination of aerodynamically stylish design and advanced key powertrain components, thanks to which a reduction in environmental impact is achieved and, at the same time, an increase operational characteristics of the car”.
Perfection and sophistication
The design of the interior space of the cabin resembles the interior of a passenger car, and according to the jury: “This adds elegance and sophistication to the truck. The car demonstrates a well-thought-out ergonomic organization of the interior space, the possibility of individual settings, the use of strong and durable materials and excellent noise and vibration insulation (NVH). All these qualities ensure maximum comfort for drivers.”
Hard work and dedication
Richard Zink, Director of Sales and Marketing at DAF Trucks and member of the Board of Directors, commented: “The Good Design Award is not just a sign of perfect design. For DAF Trucks, it is a recognition of hard work and dedication aimed at increasing the profitability of our customers’ businesses on the one hand and creating more comfortable working conditions for drivers on the other.”
