DAF Trucks has produced its 10,000th new generation DAF XB truck at its Leyland plant in the UK. Maxi Haulage Limited, headquartered in Irvine, Scotland, was delighted to receive this iconic vehicle.
The DAF XB entered production in December 2023 as part of the successful new generation DAF range. The vehicle sets the benchmark for urban and regional distribution, combining best-in-class efficiency, excellent safety and supreme driver comfort. The range offers a range of powertrain options, including highly efficient diesel powertrains and all-electric powertrains with zero emissions and a range of up to 350 km. The DAF XB truck is available with a gross weight from 7.5 to 19 tonnes and is equipped with a day cab, extended day cab or sleeper cab.
Nimble and maneuverable
Thanks to its unique maneuverability and small turning radius, the new generation DAF XB is extremely manoeuvrable, which is especially important in densely populated cities. For maximum safety, all new generation XB trucks are equipped with a full range of DAF’s advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), such as Side & DAF Turn Assist, Drive-off Assist, Speed Limit Sign Recognition and Driver Fatigue Recognition.
Maxi Haulage Limited
The 10,000th truck was delivered to Maxi Haulage Limited, a leading provider of transport, distribution and logistics services in the UK and Ireland. The new truck will be equipped with a curtained body and side for transportation on pallets. The large truck is part of a total order of 23 vehicles for Maxi Haulage.
