DAF is expanding its successful series of electric trucks with the introduction of the XG and XG⁺ Electric models. They share the same DNA as the XD and XF Electric, which were recognized as the “International Truck of the Year 2026” thanks to advanced powertrains, the benefits of LFP battery technology and high levels of driver comfort. The new XG and XG⁺ Electric also feature the most spacious cabs on the market.
The model range of DAF electric trucks provides specially designed solutions for any field of application. The program features XB Electric trucks with 12-, 16- and 19-ton capacity for urban transportation, XD Electric for urban and regional transportation, and XF Electric for long-distance transportation. The new DAF XG and XG⁺ Electric are the next level of driver comfort. Their cabs are 33 cm longer than the already spacious XF, and the extra height creates unrivaled conditions for work, rest and sleep. The total volume of the cabin is 12.5 m³ and the height is up to 2.2 m. The beds in the XG and XG⁺ have an impressive width of 80 cm along the entire length. There is no higher level of comfort on the market.
Powerful and advanced power plant
The XG and XG⁺ Electric are equipped with the most powerful PACCAR EX D2 electric motor with an output of 270 to 350 kW (370 to 480 hp) and a torque of 2,400 Nm. The compact power unit consists of two separate electric motors and an integrated three-speed transmission, which ensures smooth gear shifting and maximum comfort.
Modular battery system for maximum flexibility
The DAF XG and XG⁺ Electric can be equipped with 3 to 5 battery units arranged modularly on the chassis depending on the application. The option with 5 battery units allows you to cover more than 500 km without emissions on a single charge. With optimal travel planning and charging, the XG and XG⁺ Electric can travel more than 1,000 km per day, making them suitable for international transport. This range is ensured by the extremely efficient PACCAR EX-D2 power unit, DAF’s intelligent battery management system and aerodynamic cab design. Aerodynamics of the cabin reach the highest level thanks to its narrow design and curved windshield. The effect is enhanced by side skirts, deflectors, wings and modern digital cameras instead of mirrors.
Durability and durability
Like other DAF electric trucks, the XG and XG⁺ Electric models are equipped with the latest LFP batteries with an 8-year warranty. They do not contain cobalt and nickel, have high heat resistance and can be charged daily to 100% without loss of durability. The configuration with three batteries allows you to charge them from 10% to 80% in just over 45 minutes.
Comprehensive package of service support
Without a doubt, DAF complements its new XG and XG⁺ Electric with a comprehensive package of service support. These include smart charging stations and energy storage systems from PACCAR Power Solutions, individual maintenance contracts from DAF MultiSupport, online fleet management services through PACCAR Connect, flexible financial solutions from PACCAR Financial. The new DAF XG and XG⁺ Electric are available in 4×2 tractor and 6×2 chassis versions with steered rear axle. Regardless of the configuration, they combine the optimal electric drive with the most space in the cabin and the highest level of comfort that a driver could wish for.
