The editors and readers of the Slovenian magazines “Transport & Logistika” and “Mehanik in Voznik”, dedicated to trucks, freight transportation and car repairs, voted for awarding the new DAF CF and DAF XF models with the title of the best trucks of 2018 (Slovenian Truck of the Year 2018). Both series have been awarded for their innovative and economical engines and transmissions, as well as for their unsurpassed level of driver comfort.
Previously, the new DAF CF and XF models were already named the best cars of the year (International Truck of the Year 2018) last November at the Solutrans exhibition, as well as last month at the “Polish Truck of the Year 2018” award ceremony in Poland.
“High fuel economy”
The Slovenian award was given based on the results of a large-scale survey of editors and readers of “Transport & Logistika” and “Mahanik in Voznik”. The voting report says: “DAF CF and XF set the direction for the development of the entire truck industry with the application of high-tech innovative solutions, strictly focused on the maximum commercial profit for the owner and high comfort for the driver. The combination of the brand new PACCAR MX engines with the TraXon gearbox and DAF’s own rear axles made it possible to create an exceptionally economical vehicle with excellent driving qualities.”
